About Laura
I’m an executive leadership and career coach who works with leaders and professionals navigating a transition — whether a leadership shift, a career pivot, or a quieter sense that something more is possible.
My clients are capable, driven, and trusted by others. And yet, they sense that clarity, confidence, or direction can’t be forced through effort alone anymore.
My approach is both forward-looking and depth-oriented. We start with what you actually want and the strengths you’re ready to bring more fully into expression, then turn toward the patterns that may have been limiting what’s possible. And then we start trying things — because research on adult learning confirms what I’ve seen again and again: insight without action doesn’t stick.
How I Came To This Work
Before launching my coaching practice, I spent more than 20 years in leadership roles across technology and higher education, including 15 years at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
At Stanford, I held progressive leadership roles, including Director of Alumni Careers, and served as a primary interface between the school and more than 28,000 alumni worldwide. I led career strategy and executive coaching initiatives and worked closely with senior leaders, cross-department partners, and faculty to support leaders navigating growth, transition, and increased responsibility.
Working closely with hundreds of accomplished professionals over time gave me a deep respect for how easily capable people can become constrained by the very strategies that once helped them succeed — and how rarely there is space to slow down, reflect, and recalibrate in demanding environments.
Earlier in my career, while managing teams and global marketing initiatives at Intel, I noticed a through-line: I was most energized by helping people grow into their leadership and potential. It was also then that I hired my own coach for the first time, and experienced firsthand what it feels like to have your sense of what’s possible genuinely expanded. That experience shaped everything about how I work with clients today.
How I Work With Clients
I bring a steady presence to my coaching. Clients often describe my approach as reflective, discerning, and action-oriented.
My work moves through three dimensions. We start with what you actually want; not just your next role or decision, but what matters most to you, and the strengths you're ready to bring more fully into expression. Many clients find this the most energizing part: giving themselves real permission to envision what's possible. From there, we turn toward what's been standing in the way — the internal patterns and strategies that shape how you show up, especially under pressure or during change. I draw on the Enneagram as one primary lens for making those patterns visible and workable. And then we move — because insight without action doesn't stick. We begin with small experiments that build awareness and momentum without overwhelming.
There's always a messy middle; a stretch where the old way no longer fits and the new way isn't quite clear yet. I've come to love that space, because that's where possibility becomes real.
