About Laura

I’m an executive leadership and career coach who works with thoughtful, high-performing professionals at moments of growth, transition, or increased complexity — when what’s worked before no longer feels sufficient.

Many of my clients are successful on paper. They’re capable, driven, and trusted by others. And yet, they sense that clarity, confidence, or direction can’t be forced through effort alone anymore.

My work focuses on helping people understand the deeper patterns shaping how they think, decide, and lead — so they can make their next moves with clarity they can trust, and follow through with intention. This is depth-oriented coaching, grounded in real-world leadership demands, for people ready for change beyond surface-level tactics.

How I Came To This Work

Before launching my coaching practice, I spent more than 20 years in leadership roles across technology and higher education, including 15 years at Stanford Graduate School of Business.

At Stanford, I held progressive leadership roles, including Director of Alumni Careers, and served as a primary interface between the school and more than 28,000 alumni worldwide. I led career strategy and executive coaching initiatives and worked closely with senior leaders, cross-functional partners, and faculty to support leaders navigating growth, transition, and increased responsibility.

Working closely with hundreds of accomplished professionals over time gave me a deep respect for how easily capable people can become constrained by the very strategies that once helped them succeed, and how rarely there is space to slow down, reflect, and recalibrate in demanding environments.

Earlier in my career, while managing teams and global marketing initiatives at Intel, I noticed a through-line: I was most energized by helping people grow into their leadership and potential. Coaching eventually became a way to bring that instinct to the center of my work.

How I Work With Clients

I bring a steady presence to my coaching. Clients often describe my approach as reflective, discerning, and action-oriented.

I pay close attention to underlying motivations, adaptive strategies, and recurring patterns — especially how they show up under pressure or during change. Together, we slow down just enough to surface what’s already there, so insight can translate into intentional action rather than more effort.

A core part of my work involves helping clients understand the internal strategies they’ve relied on to succeed, and how those strategies may now be limiting their effectiveness or satisfaction. I draw on the Enneagram as one lens for making these patterns visible — not to label people, but to increase awareness, choice, and flexibility.

My work blends mindset and behavior change, using research-based frameworks while staying deeply human and grounded in the client’s real-world context. In addition to working with individuals, I partner with organizations seeking to develop and retain their talent through individualized coaching.

Background and Training

I hold an MBA from UCLA Anderson and a BA in English Literature from the University of Virginia. I’m a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) and draw on evidence-based tools in my practice, including the Enneagram, the Leadership Circle Profile, and CliftonStrengths.

A Bit More Personally

After many years of living and working in Silicon Valley, I now live in Denver, Colorado with my husband and two teenage sons. When I’m not coaching, you’ll find me outside—walking, hiking, or enjoying Colorado’s seasons.
